Ordering a Radiation Badge

Individuals handling only Carbon 14
or Tritium (H-3) are not required to be on the badge
program. Anyone handling P-32, S-35, P-33 or any gamma
emitter such as Rb-86, I125 or I-131 is required to wear
a whole body OSL badge. Anyone using millicurie (mCi)
amounts should also wear a ring badge.

To order a monitoring device,
please call the Department of Environmental Health & Safety at
568-6585. Information such as name, date of birth, social
security number, and telephone number will be asked. You may
also fill out the online Badge Form linked to this page.
You should receive your badge
in 7-10 days.
